Before you board
One night in Bali
Fly to Bali where you will be met at the airport by an AE Expeditions representative and transferred to your included hotel for a one-night stay. The following day, transfer to the airport for your flight to Sorong in West Papua, where you will board Greg Mortimer and begin your expedition.

Sparsely populated and spectacularly beautiful, the Raja Ampat archipelago is a treasure trove of jungle-smothered islands, white sand beaches and some of the best diving in the world. The crystal clear waters are teeming with tropical fish, while on land you can see parrots, hornbills and birds of paradise.

Before you return
One night in Bali
Disembark your voyage in Sorong and transfer to the airport for your charter flight to Bali. Here enjoy an overnight hotel stay before continuing your journey with a flight back to the UK the following day.

How much time is spent ashore?
Itineraries are planned to deliver an unforgettable experience of the destination, so days are filled with landings ashore via the ship's fleet of Zodiacs (sturdy rubber boats) or exploration along the coastline. It will vary depending on itinerary and operators, so it's best to contact us to discuss but rest assured an expedition cruise is focused on the time you spend off the ship.
