Adventures, to me, are a way to obtain an in-depth understanding and experience of a destination or country. To discover places that are lesser known or delve further into the makings of a culture, way of life or activity.
My favourite adventure
Monument Valley, USA

Although it's a well-known journey, there's still something scintillating about Route 66.

We drove along this famous highway as part of a recent trip from California to Arizona via Utah and Nevada, visiting sights including Yosemite National Park, Bryce Canyon and the scorching Death Valley.

The highlight of our American adventure was the Grand Canyon, which was simply incredible. Flying over the vast expanse of orange-brown rock and landing at the iconic Monument Valley was truly unforgettable, and it's an experience that you should definitely consider adding on to any expedition to the west coast of the USA and Mexico.

My top adventure tip

I would encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and seize any opportunity to try something different to the norm.

Whether its food related, a physical challenge or stepping into the unknown, be bold and you'll likely enrich your holiday experience. More often than not it's these spur-of-the-moment decisions that lead to those amazing travel stories that you tell people for years to come, and memories that will last a lifetime.

I would still recommend that you do a bit of research beforehand though, just so you have an idea of what you're letting yourself in for!
