My favourite destination is Bermuda, situated 600 miles off the coast of the USA, with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other.
As Britain's oldest colony, there are plenty of monuments to reflect this, including the red telephone box! Bermuda is known for its pink coral sand beaches and colourful sub-tropical gardens. I love visiting the Botanical Gardens, with its prolific blooms of bougainvillea, oleander and hibiscus, and this is also where the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art is located, with a memorial to John Lennon - he visited and wrote his last album here.
My top tip is to make sure you have a supply of any currency for the destinations you are visiting.
Often ships only carry a small quantity, and ATMs are not always easily available in every port of call.
