The staggering beauty of Antarctica is difficult to put into words. The scale of the landscape is amazing and the remoteness is accentuated by its strangeness. It really does feel like another planet.

Penguins waddled past unafraid of our presence, whales surfaced in a mirror calm bay, a dreamlike sunset was perfectly reflected in the ocean and we witnessed leopard seals hunting in the shallows. The trip was extraordinary and everyday seemed to offer something even more delightful than the last.
