5 September

Indonesia: Labuan Bajo

Labuan Bajo is situated at the western end of the island of Flores, and serves as the main entry point to neighbouring Komodo National Park. Flores itself is home to some of the most staggeringly beautiful scenery in the Indonesian archipelago, a lush landscape of smouldering volcanoes, spectacular lakes and verdant paddy fields.

Indonesia: Gili Lawa Laut

The volcanic island of Gili Lawa Laut is situated amongst some of the best dive sites in Komodo National Park, and the shallow waters are ideal for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. A 30-minute trek to the island’s summit will reward you with great views, and the island also has some lovely secluded beaches.

Indonesia: Horseshoe Bay (Rinca Island)

Rinca is one of the largest islands in Komodo National Park, and it’s a great place to see the famous Komodo dragon in the wild, with fewer tourists than neighbouring Komodo Island. Other wildlife here includes wild pigs, buffalo and a variety of birds, and there are some excellent dive sites around Horseshoe Bay on the south coast.

10 September

Indonesia: Saleh Bay (Sumbawa)

Saleh Bay is a vast expanse of sea on the northern side of Sumbawa island, semi-enclosed and scattered with uninhabited islands. The main attraction here is the marine life, and in particular the chance to see magnificent whale sharks in their natural habitat.

Indonesia: Moyo Island

Mostly uninhabited and rarely visited by tourists, Moyo lies off the north coast of Sumbawa, and the majority of the island is a protected nature reserve. Look out for long-tailed macaques, wild cattle, boars and 20 different species of bat, amongst a landscape of white sand beaches, savannah, forests, caves and idyllic waterfalls.

How can we help?

Our frequently asked questions

From expedition tips to travel protection, here are some of our most-asked questions.

visit our faqs

Can you help with pre and post-cruise arrangements?

Absolutely. Expedition cruises often start and end in remote destinations, and we're able to arrange everything from flights and transfers to hotels and tours. If you're keen to make the most of your time away with bespoke arrangements, we can help with all your travel needs to make sure your trip is exceptional. What's more, we are members of ABTA and we offer full ATOL protection, not to mention a 24-hour emergency contact, to give you complete peace of mind.

Will I save by booking with Mundy Adventures?

You'll save money and time by booking with us rather than directly with the cruise line, as well as enjoying more flexibility in your travel arrangements. We have access to preferential rates and exclusive offers, and we offer expert advice on how to get the best value.

How much time is spent ashore?

Itineraries are planned to deliver an unforgettable experience of the destination, so days are filled with landings ashore via the ship's fleet of Zodiacs (sturdy rubber boats) or exploration along the coastline. It will vary depending on itinerary and operators, so it's best to contact us to discuss but rest assured an expedition cruise is focused on the time you spend off the ship.
