Voyage Itinerary

6 March

Setting sail from La Paz

La Paz feels more authentically Mexican than most of the other large cities in Baja California, though at the same time it's a cosmopolitan and sophisticated place. It's also a gateway to the fantastic marine life of the Sea of Cortez, famously described by Jacques Cousteau as 'the world's aquarium'.

7 March

Mexico: Isla San Jose

Explore secluded coves and golden beaches in Isla San Jose, exploring by kayak, or go a little further afield on a guided hike.

8 March

Mexico: Bahia Agua Verde

At Bahia Agua Verde, clear waters are bordered by green-tufted mountains; explore the coast by small skiff witnessing birds, seals, dolphins, and whales; visit with a local ranchero and his family or take to the canyons and mountains like a local.

9 March

Mexico: Isla Monserrate

10 March

Mexico: Isla Carmen

11 March

Mexico: Isla San Francisco

Isla San Francisco is all steep red bluffs and sweeping desert beach; explore among colorful sea life, grab a paddle and kayak, hop on a paddle board, or relax on the beach with the sand between your toes.

12 March

Mexico: Los Islotes

The little islands known as Los Islotes, at the southern end of the Sea of Cortez, are home to a famously friendly group of sea lions. Here you can swim and snorkel with these playful creatures; the youngsters are particularly endearing.

How can we help?

Our frequently asked questions

From expedition tips to travel protection, here are some of our most-asked questions.

visit our faqs

Can you help with pre and post-cruise arrangements?

Absolutely. Expedition cruises often start and end in remote destinations, and we're able to arrange everything from flights and transfers to hotels and tours. If you're keen to make the most of your time away with bespoke arrangements, we can help with all your travel needs to make sure your trip is exceptional. What's more, we are members of ABTA and we offer full ATOL protection, not to mention a 24-hour emergency contact, to give you complete peace of mind.

Will I save by booking with Mundy Adventures?

You'll save money and time by booking with us rather than directly with the cruise line, as well as enjoying more flexibility in your travel arrangements. We have access to preferential rates and exclusive offers, and we offer expert advice on how to get the best value.

How much time is spent ashore?

Itineraries are planned to deliver an unforgettable experience of the destination, so days are filled with landings ashore via the ship's fleet of Zodiacs (sturdy rubber boats) or exploration along the coastline. It will vary depending on itinerary and operators, so it's best to contact us to discuss but rest assured an expedition cruise is focused on the time you spend off the ship.
