Name a Shark: Lindblad Expeditions & Mundy Adventures

Alex Hearn tagging Galapagos sharks

Mundy Adventures and Lindblad Expeditions have partnered to support vital shark conservation research in the Galápagos and the Eastern Pacific. To raise awareness of the ongoing research, we will be following the progress of a tagged shark in real time, and we want YOUR suggestions for what we should call it!

A shortlist of top name suggestions will be selected, followed by a public vote to choose the winner. We'll donate to the Galapagos Conservation Trust for every name suggestion we receive. We will then regularly update you on the location of the shark in real time, giving a fascinating insight into the journeys these magnificent creatures make across our oceans.

At a recent fundraising gala hosted by Galapagos Conservation Trust President Monty Halls, both Mundy Adventures and Lindblad Expeditions pledged their support to important research led by Dr. Alex Hearn. His work on the migratory patterns of sharks was instrumental in the creation of Ecuador's Hermandad Marine Reserve, which expanded the Galápagos Marine Reserve by 60,000 square kilometres.

This initiative is part of a broader commitment from both Mundy Adventures - longtime supporters of the Galapagos Conservation Trust - and Lindblad Expeditions to promote responsible exploration and conservation.
