24 April
Setting sail from Cabo San Lucas
The sister towns of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, known collectively as Los Cabos, sit at the tip of Mexico's Baja California peninsula. The towns themselves are mostly given over to luxury hotels and boisterous nightlife, but the surrounding landscape is characterised by arid arroyos, bristly cacti and rocky coastal outcrops.

25-26 April
Mexico: Magdalena Bay

Situated on the west coast of the Baja California peninsula, Magdalena Bay is sheltered from the Pacific by islands just off the coast, and the calm waters provide the perfect conditions for the gray whales that mate and give birth here between January and March.
27 April - 2 May
Mexico: Cabo Pulmo National Park, Danzante Island, Isla del Carmen, Isla Monserrate, Isla San Jose, Isla San Francisco
3 May
Mexico: Isla Espíritu Santo

The uninhabited island of Espíritu Santo is one of the highlights of the Sea of Cortez, a pristine landscape of pink cliffs and sandy beaches. The rich seas surrounding the island are home to whales, dolphins and sea lions, and you can expect to see birdlife including pelicans and frigate birds.

The Greg Mortimer and Sylvia Earle are exciting new purpose-built expedition ships with a revolutionary design.
What we love
Just take a look at the pictures of these ships - quite different from anything we have seen before with a revolutionary new patented X-BOW design which has a number of benefits. Not only does it increase passenger comfort by eliminating slamming in heavy seas, but also the journey is speeded up so uncomfortable rides in heavy seas are minimised. This also results in environmental benefits, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
On board, Aurora Expeditions passengers will enjoy the company's established style - a comfortable, friendly and laid-back vibe in the company of like-minded travellers, for whom the time ashore is everything. The focus is on small group exploration, with a commitment to getting off the ship as much as possible for up close and personal encounters with wilderness and wildlife.
