Ponant's ultra-modern fleet of small ships were built to explore the world's most exotic and exciting destinations, from untouched tropical islands to the icy polar regions. In addition to Ponant's superb expedition team, every National Geographic sailing will be accompanied by a destination expert and photographer from National Geographic, with a special programme of engaging talks, lectures and workshops throughout your cruise.
Ponant's fast-expanding fleet of expedition ships ranges from the 64-guest sailing ship Le Ponant to the groundbreaking hybrid-powered icebreaker Le Commandant Charcot, launching in 2021. The new Explorer Class of six luxurious yachts feature industry-leading green technologies to protect the environment, including reduced exhaust emissions and a dynamic positioning system, which removes the need to drop the anchor when stationary.
