A very special company, Noble Caledonia fulfils the need of seasoned travellers for a range of expedition cruises that are educational, enjoyable and above all, different. Since their establishment in 1991, they have created unique journeys, voyages and cruise holidays for like-minded travellers, exploring off the beaten track in small groups. Innovative and adventurous, Noble Caledonia constantly seeks out new destinations shaped by new discoveries, world events and historic themes.
Their flagship Island Sky and her sister Caledonian Sky are wholly owned and operated by the company, to a very high standard, and offer adventure cruises around the world.
With just 116 passengers and a Filipino crew of 75, on a Noble Caledonia cruise all guests are well looked after in a low-key peaceful environment where a little light music, excellent guest speakers, occasional cultural showpieces, and the conversation of like-minded people is the sum of the entertainment on board.
Dining, at a single seating, is a convivial occasion, with plenty of time to talk over the exciting visits of the day, review world affairs, and enjoy the humour and sophistication of a mainly British group of travellers.
Accommodation is comfortable and spacious, all with a sea view and many with their own balcony, and the decor is classic and warmly welcoming, with plenty of polished wood and brass.
The inclusive pricing policy means that the majority of shore excursions are included in the cost of the cruise – when sailing in remote, undeveloped areas or places with restricted access, passengers go ashore by tender, or in rubber zodiacs with marvellous manoeuvrability. On board, wine with dinner is included, and no tipping is required.
