Hurtigruten offer more adventurous cruise ship holidays and is renowned for their comprehensive collection of voyages reaching the most beautiful and dramatic locations of the world. Originally "working vessels" which provided a lifeline for coastal towns up and down the Norwegian coast delivering mail, people and other goods, the spectacular scenery meant that these ships became a popular way to see Norway in a comprehensive fashion.
As time has progressed these working ships have become more comfortable, so Hurtigruten cruise ship now have greater amenities, offering more of a cruise experience. MS Fram operates as a cruise ship proper, but does not compromise on itineraries, regularly visiting both the Arctic and Antarctic.
Today the fleet mixes adventurous itineraries with intimate and comfortable ships, providing access to some of the most remote destinations of the world... specialising in the icy Arctic landscapes of Spitsbergen, Iceland, Greenland and Antarctic cruises. They also undertake a series of special Northern Lights cruises within the Arctic Circle, off the coast of Norway and up towards Russia.
