Sunset at sea

Noble Caledonia

Tiny ships, exciting itineraries, experts on board and a dedicated and knowledgeable expedition team are hallmarks of the stimulating Noble Caledonia experience.

At Noble Caledonia it’s all about the destinations – not just where you go, but how you go there. What distinguishes them is their small ships which can take you to places others can’t reach, whether in some far-flung exotic location, or much closer to home.

Our Insight

Why Noble Caledonia

For nearly 25 years, Noble Caledonia has been designing intriguing journeys on small ships to worldwide destinations, to appeal to inquisitive travellers (mainly British) who enjoy learning about new places and cultures whilst travelling in a comfortable and friendly environment.

We are fond of this little company which shares many of our own values, and indeed employs a few of our former staff members! Privately owned and independent (like Mundy!), they are able to operate for the benefit of their passengers rather than pandering to the needs of shareholders.

We think the itineraries are well planned and intriguing, and sufficiently varied to ensure that if you enjoy the Noble Caledonia style, you can return time and again. Each year we see many old favourites alongside new opportunities to suit every taste, whether you like to travel to the other side of the world or very close to home.

Noble Caledonia now own and operate three of the former Renaissance Cruises 100 passenger ships built back in the early '90s, now named MS Island Sky, MS Caledonian Sky and Sea Explorer. They are pretty little ships, small enough to access harbours and bays way off the beaten track, with comfortable accommodation, plenty of space to relax or enjoy the guest speakers and local experts, and an intimate atmosphere where the passengers enjoy the companionship of like-minded travellers.
