Sunset over Tromso, Norway

About us

Ok, a rather dull fact first. Mundy Adventures is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mundy Cruising plc, the UK's very first cruise specialist, and one of the leading companies in the field.

It's dull perhaps, but it's important. It says all sorts of things that are relevant to you, such as that we have been around for decades so we must be doing something right; and your money is therefore safe with us; and that if you give us a call you know you're going to be speaking to grown-up experts, rather than some internet fly-by-night who is speaking to you from a rented industrial unit in the back of beyond.

But if you want a great holiday escapade, why on earth would you come to someone who is an expert in ships? Simply because some of the most breathtaking places on earth can only be reached by water. Ever wanted to see polar bears roam in the Arctic? Witness humpback whales in the wild? Meet tribes in Papua New Guinea? Experience the magical Northern Lights? Or follow in the footsteps of the great adventurers to Antarctica?

If those types of experiences are for you, then Mundy Adventures really is for you as well!

What's a Mundy Adventure?

They are each and all different, of course, according to where they venture on the globe. So what follows is a rather generic description.

That said, you will normally travel with around 150 fellow guests and will be looked after by an exceptionally well-trained crew. But not just crew; each expedition ship also carries a number of highly knowledgeable lecturers and expedition tour leaders, with years of experience in the region you are visiting. Their expertise may range from photography to marine biology, and every day they will take you ashore aboard RIBs (Rubber Inflatable Boats). Normally there may be two or three landings per day.

And each evening before dinner the expedition leaders and lecturers will talk about what you have seen during the day, and what the plans are for the next day - however conditions or an exciting spotting of a particular phenomenon can completely change the schedule. Mundy Adventures are often unpredictable!

What can be predicted is that there will be plenty of chances to relax and enjoy good food and good company.

Meet the team

Mundy Adventures don't operate our own expedition ships - what we do is help you identify the ship or destination that is right for you; we take care of the logistics of getting to the ship; and we can also tailor make your trip by adding any land programmes before and after your expedition cruise exactly to your specifications.

What all that takes is in-depth knowledge and expertise. Which means that when you talk to one of our Adventure Consultants, you'll be talking to someone with excellent knowledge of the destination, and someone who'll want to converse with you about exactly what it is that you are hoping to get from your holiday, so that they can make it perfect for you.

What also makes them a little different is that you can meet them in person if you prefer. We enjoy comfortable offices on London's Russell Square, and you are very welcome to make an appointment to come in and see them and put them to the test.

Investors In People

We are one of the few companies in our industry to be awarded the Investors in People Charter Mark. It’s clearly not just us that believe our entire team is well trained and motivated.
